I Miss You

Three simple words.

I have never realised how poignant each of these words are - and how beautiful they sound when they come together.

Until now.

Profound in its simplicity indeed.

The 3 little words mean - at a particular point in time, someone actually stopped whatever he/she has been doing, and took a special moment to savour your presence in his/her heart.

The thought may be fleeting like a comet, but it leaves a sensational trail.

And knowing that you have just been on someone's mind, at a unique moment in time, is exceptionally touching.

Thank you for thinking about me.

I miss you too.

02 posts in a day? its outstanding.
the 'i miss u' maybe just the tip of the iceberg. Next it could be 'i love u'. its predictable baby.

You are becoming quite the philosopher.

I like your description, "someone actually stopped whatever they were doing, and took a special moment to savour your presence in their heart."

But, isn't that what we all want? To know that others care for us? That we are in their thoughts and in their hearts?

Bee had a nice poem on that theme.

Prince: Not necessarily. I may miss you, but that does not mean I will love you. When you are being missed, it validates your existence. As for love, that's another story/posting altogether.

Anyway, this is just one of my many musings - when I am in the mood.

Richard: Haven I always been the philosopher? Woe to me, a writer suppressed.

Recently yes. And, as I keep mentioning, you seem to reveal much more of your soul in your recent writings.

I hardly think you are a writer supressed. You are far more prolific than I in your ramblings and musings.

I still think you should sign up for NaNoWriMo.

Hmmn... interesting. I guess it depends on what one meant by "I miss you". To one who is socially open, it might just mean a casual remark w/o much feeling in it. Wheresas to one who is conservative, it would mean a lot, almost as good as saying "I love you". Culturally it would be different again.

So I tend to probe further if someone says "I miss you" to me. :P

Well...for me, it simply means - I have been thinking of you. Nothing more.... :)

Everyone's perception is different. As long as we're comfortable with ourselves, its good enough

I think it will sound more touching in Chinese - maybe because it's our mother tongue.
我深深地想念你。
真的哦!
你要相信我!
(才怪呢!哈)

Its a bliss to be missed...

As sometime missing someone- the feeling really feel sucks...

Unfulfilled longiness.
I dread that...

Guess its better to be miss than to miss... ;-)

All man have emotion, guess we can't help it even if we have a choice...

Alternatively, try Blue Mountains Art Writers. Heard it pays well, if your work is chosen.

Absence does make the heart grow fonder, doesn't it?

Yea, Cant agree more with NJS. I rather be missed than to miss.

Feeling not right abt this.Jus cant seem to understand why.

Jus like what was ask on chatterbox, to love or be loved. Its such an irony.

幸福是﹐在愛情發生的那瞬間﹐不需猶豫就能夠大聲說出﹕我-愛-你。

另一種幸福﹐是說完就忘記的人。

不對嗎﹖
