Check out some of the latest photos from my Kelong trip! :)
Met a babe Jacquline who's there with her hubby Ivan. We clicked almost instantly! Took this at the jetty.....
Check out my artistically-taken photos of the Kelong. Taken from my trusty E730 Samsung HP! I reduced the pixels of the photos using Photoshop - cos the originals were super sharp and high-res!
Photo of fishies caught by a group of super-on aunties and uncles. Ginger still the older the hotter! Rumour has it that the group caught more than 200 fish.... Not surprised. I was reading till 4am and those peeps are still fishing!
Me and Jac in the bumboat ride!
Moi @the Kelong with the sea in the background
I really like the peace and tranquility of this place.
Many have asked why I went alone. I needed that solitude. I badly need to spend some time with myself. For the longest time, I have spend most of my life living for other people. It's about time I allow myself the luxury of indulging and relaxing, without having to think about others.
I like spending time with moi.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist doing this the rockson style:
I am number 1!!! haha
hahahaha!! you super super KANASAI!
why dye your hair? Black is natural and natural is good! I think in western countries, their asian citizens usually don't dye their hair because it is a sensitive issue that has racial/ethnic envy/rejection implication. I mean, they may dye it green or bright red or some outrageous color, but never brown/blonde. Don't know why Singapore girls like to do that. I still think natural is beautiful :)
Although you may have went alone, it looks like you managed to draw people around you pretty easily.

Ha ha. Asian women here (Canada) colour their hair just as much as other women. Many Asian women here colour their hair with reddish tones (which can look very nice). I'm not sure if I've seen any blonde Asians though. Also, some perm their hair.
I think women like to colour their hair for two reasons: (1) change, (2) to cover the grey.
I only know three women who do not colour their hair: my mother, a Dutch friend, and Japanese friend.
Yes, it's essential that we do find time and spend time just for ourselves, alone. However, there are times that we will realise, it's more fulfilling when we live our lives for those around us, for our loved ones, and not just for ourselves.
Human, are not meant to live a solitary life.
like the unique angles u took of the kelong.... nice idea, strong katrina winds or too much booze...hehehe
always wanted to go hotboyz kelong but couldn't find a good timing with my fellow fishing kakis. maybe i should follow your footsteps.
i've always wanted to travel alone... but when i told my frens and family the thought of going thailand/cambodia alone, they think it's absurd. ??? hahaha...
Like i said before, i think i know how u feel bout being alone n wanting to spend time with yourself. u learn how to appreciate your own company and that's a wonderful thing.
What happened to the photos of you and the Hot Boyz singing karaoke in the wee hours of the morning?
:-)
Richard: Guess I am a natural magnet huh? Hahaha... :P
BoredDay: Somehow, it seems that my life is destined to be so. There are obvious signs after signs - that I am meant to be alone. Too many.
Jesse: You should just go. If I were you - I'd say it's my life, why should I bother about what other people feels? They shld not be dictating how you want to seek happiness...
Mel: Yes indeed! Hope you can do it too.
Kok Seng: I was too electrified to touch another digital device. :P
hmmm I think lightning/thunder shouldn't not strike the same spot twice ??
=.=
well just a piece of advice, do be careful of holding a graphite fishing rod when it is getting stormy too. Maybe lightning do strike twice.
:p
Amen. A personal retreat is meant to be personal :) Just thought it might be a tad risky for a girl to go to such a faraway place all by herself :)
Michael: I am a daredevil. Have always travelled alone - especially for business. Used to it already...
i agree with kok seng. where's those photos of those bosses? need not at karaoke session though
Spinee: Organize a trip up to the kelong and see for yourself. You so pretty they sure will take good care of you one.
Any more slots for the Nov 26th trip?
Lady Titania, I been flying solo since the day I was born.
Rainbow: Ya I heard people get shocks when they touch their fishing rods after a thunderstorm...
Luvphobia: Yes there are!
Mel: Lord Wright - You have my respect. I don't know babies have wings.
So how many shells will it set me back?
Anywhere i could see some details?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. — RALPH WALDO EMERSON
Haha... seems like you can't really run away from people.
Solitude is great. Spending time away from normal life, can refocus our mind from the clutter of daily routines.
But hope that time not really spent to think of how to drive others crazy...
Have fun and live life to the fullest!

The minimum cost for transport is S$27 only if we can find 10 people to fit the bus (cos the whole transport costs $270). Otherwise the transport costs would have to be shared between whoever is going.
Ethan: To know I have loved and been loved, is enough.
Elvina: Got it. When will be the deadline to give an answer? Ermm, so to you or your hot boys?
I was once canoeing around Pulau Ubin with my collegue when we capsized in the rain. I'll tell you though, the guy at the kelong where we capsized was damn strong. He pulled up the two man canoe which was full of water just by himself. That thing must have weighed like thirty over kg.
LuvPhobia: Book directly with Hotboys. Alternatively, you can email me these details and I will help book together:
Name
Date of birth
Address
Email
HP no.
Thanks
Guess you can now become part time tour agent and kelong operator.
:-)
Ya. Maybe when I lose my job I can seriously consider doing this...
