HOT FISHY WEEKEND

Dear faithful readers of my humble blog…

A thousand apologies for the lack of updates this entire week. I have been so busy with my work lately that I slept less than 4 hours each day. Looking haggard by the day… :(

I was drafting a multi-million contract to inject a new slew of entertainment events for Singapore. My mission is to bring in global branded events that will anchor Singapore as the Entertainment Capital of Asia. 2006 will blow your mind away. If you get hit by wave after wave of world-class entertainment events, you’d know I have a hand and leg in this.

2005 will end on a high note – Crazy Horse (“almost full nudity” cabaret-striptease dance club!) will seduce the island on the first week of December. ZoukOut returns on a much bigger scale – promising more bikini babes, tanned hunks and some of the world’s best DJs. Ministry of Sound will open its virgin act at The Cannery – threatening to give Zouk a run for their money with the best dance sounds from UK’s music scene.

To summarize, I will be working very hard to try and bring in entertainment events that will hopefully propel Singapore into the realms of Las Vegas, New York and Sydney. I am tasked to entice companies to bring in Broadway Musicals (the likes of Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story) throughout the year; outdoor parties such as ZoukOut and Live and Loud; concerts, award shows as well as the most hip and happening nightspots from Japan, UK and US.

With all that brain juice devoted in making Singapore a better place, I decided it’s time for another scorching hot fishy weekend for me at the Hotboys Kelong!

So here I am again – surrounded by an unprecedented group of HOT hunks and pretty babes. Drool factor – 90%. :)~

The Kelong reached its full capacity this weekend, with 125 fishing enthusiasts casting their baits into the crystal clear sea. There was much hustle and bustle as the topless guys strutted around, blinding me with their tanned and well-oiled six packs. Wooooooo~……

The girls are equally hot – and I’d taken their photos for your viewing pleasure. *drooLz*

The Kelong staff gave me an extremely “warm” welcome – some of whom were already plotting OPENLY how they would use me as a live bait for sharks, or hurl me into the sea while I was asleep. So much for hospitality haha...

As they always say, a picture paints a thousand words. So here’s a few thousand words for your viewing pleasure.

Last but not least, the haggard-looking me.....

Sounds like you had a fun time at the Kelong.....

Oh, what other musicals will be coming our way???? When I read that West Side Story will be coming to Singapore, I wondered if you had a hand in it....
=)

Hmm.. I do think your statement of 'haggard looking me' don't do justice to your own beauty and drool factor.

sure, they are hot, but you are not any lesser than them!

Good to know you had a wonderful weekend to relax and de-stress!

Cheers!

bring in the musicals! been regretting for the past ten years cos i didnt manage to catch les miserables at that time. throughout the year sounds great. =)

your trip to the kelong looks fun - a well deserved break for you. been checking your blog daily for updates, so please keep on writing!

Well...
Working Hard and Playing Hard...

There's quite a good balance. Really know how to pamper yourself after a hard day's work... good!

As for the 'haggard looking me' pic doesn't look haggard at all, maybe abit sheepish.

Keep it up babe!

Well, since sevenspell is saying bring in the musicals, might it do harm to bring in Phantom of the Opera as well? I'm dying to watch that.

Looks like you totally recharged yourself at the kelong.

And which kelong did you go to, if I may ask? Is it somewhere up north?

Wooo so many comments haha. Let me see if I can condensed some of your questions into one reply...

Musicals - Rent is already here, so you guys may want to catch that. Phantom may come in but not in 2006. West Side Story is coming in as well - so keep a lookout. We are still working on a list of musicals to bring in - but that's confidential for the time being. There will be other musicals for families - based on cartoon characters.

Spinee: Yes you are right. It is done - but it's under my portfolio. That's why I have been so busy, because we have to prepare for the press conference, and the the official launches to the travel trade (airline, hotel, travel agents), the ministers as well as to selective trade partners.

I have also been busy drafting contracts for mega events that we hope to roll out for 2006.

Bored Dad: Haha thanks for the compliment. You should have seen me in person. I do look super haggard and tired from lack of sleep. And I need to lose some weight too.....

sevenspell: Gee thanks! You are new to this blog? How did you stumble across this Hotel Solace? Hope you enjoy reading my entries.

NJS: Trust me. That was one of my super shagged and sleepy look. It's anything but sheepish...

Aristocrat: I was at the Kelong up in East Malaysia - Sibu. Check out this link for more details:

Elvina, given the opportunity and the honour, I would really love to meet you in person. Haha...

But I do mean what I said earlier.

John said...

Elvina, that Kelong is in West Malaysia, in Johor. :)
By the way, you look pretty good for a haggard.

Given the loosening of restrictions in Singapore lately, any chance we'll see musicals like The Rocky Horror Show? Saw it while up in London a long time ago, and couldn't stop laughing throughout hehe.

I'd have to agree with all the rest of the musers as well, you don't look a tad haggard. A little strained perhaps (the smile isn't as vibrant as your other pics), but Hey! You still look good! hahaha.

The Crazy Horse show is not cheap. $45 if i not wrong.

More like $85. Pricey stuff hehe.

woah...125 pple at the kelong? wow, that sounds like a lot. cos thought it was some quiet getaway to relax n unwind kinda place from yr last post bout it. anyway glad to see u enjoyed yrself.

oh yeah, since i was too busy too. in response to yr earlier blogs...I hate durian too. And I first found yr site while searching for ‘female Elvis impersonators’ and Elvina came up. Nah, just kidding…it was those beautiful poems on yr other site. But I think u already knew that.
1/4 life crisis and feeling down? someone once said, if u talk bout yr problems, u r already on yr way to solving them. Is that relevant here? er...think its time for lunch.

John/Bored Dad/LGSF: Thanks for the lavish compliments. Haha..you guys are too kind.

LGSF: Yup. It is supposed to be a premium cabaret club - not ur sleazy lup sup neptune kind of bar. There are dress codes too to adhere to. Formal wear for both men and women.

Mel: Thanks for your comments. Ya - did not expect such a huge crowd though. I will be posting up some of the things I did while I was there. Super fun though even when the place was buzzing with people.

Aristocrat said...

Hmm, you know Lim Buey Tor? He was up at some kelong with our northern neighbours as well. Donno if he was at the same one as you. If you heard 6 people making a big commotion and doing all sorts of funny stuff, that's them haha.

And yeah I second Bored Dad and John. If that's haggard, your definition of haggard has gotta be pretty different from the crowd.

Elvina aka LaoNiang said...

Ya i know Lim Buey Tor was there too..... though I do not really know which one is him. I even played mahjong with their babes. Of course I won hahaa....

Aristocrat said...

A small world man lol...

Haha you wouldn't believe it, but I stumbled across your blog when I saw one of your comments on Rockson's blog, and I was thinking,"Wow, a really pretty girl." and went on to click on your profile.

And I guarantee I'm a perfectly straight female. haha

I've been checking your blog ever since, cos I think you write really well, and I could relate to what you write about, emotions, life and all. Your writing's been pretty inspiring for me, really. =)

So, please don't stop ok? Write on!

Elvina aka LaoNiang said...

Virgin: Ya lor. She is really chioo - but married liao. Sorry!

The Crazy Horse in Orchard Tower is the cheong one. The one that is launching at Clark Quay is the original high class cabaret from Paris. Men have to be dressed in lounge suits and women - cocktail dresses. Tickets can be as high as $145. It's a premium club for the atas and filthy rich.

Luvphobia: Haha..you can join us anytime. No discrimination! :)

Your trip seems to have garnered yourself an admirable group of friends and loyalists. It is the envy of everyone to be able to rest and relax in the midst of the raging seas. Your pictures do tell a thousand words and I must say they were really well taken. However, I am VERY SURE in the near future you will be able to show us excellent photographic images of an artistic nature.

I look forward to reading more of your smooth flowing written articles. Cheers.
